Interview with an art collector
Next we will speak with Mr. Peter Salver, a collector who has purchased dozens of sculptures, valued at several millions, from Mr. Barrow.
We wanted to interview him because we were not aware of him among regular collectors, even though he has bought many works and he was beginning to arouse our curiosity.
– Exactly for that reason, I wanted to stop drawing so much attention to myself and provide some clarity. I am simply a collector who likes niche works.
Why would someone who can afford to pay so much only buy works from Mr. Barrow?
– I trust only his good eye, that’s why I’m not interested in other people’s offers. It’s very hard for me to trust, I don’t want any more offers, even if it’s a bargain.
After so many purchases, where do you keep them? Can we see your collection?
– I can’t show it, it’s extremely private. I won’t say where I keep it either.
There are rumors that the remains of one of the sculptures you bought were seen in the trash. Is this true?
– That’s what I wanted to refute. That one was just a fake and I threw it away. I wasn’t going to break the original, why would I do that after paying so much?
